In a nutshell the book presents the development of the Zetor tractor range from 1945 onwards. Since that year 1.2 million tractors have been sold all over the world including licence production in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
During the more than 60 years of its existence Zetor has made major contributions to tractor design and development. We mention direct injection of diesel engines, the early application of powershift transmissions, low noise safety cabs, the use of air compressors etc. Today, Zetor tractors are internationally acknowledged as reliable no frills down to earth tractors offering good value for money.
Since 2003 Zetor is a member company of die Slovak industrial group HTC Holding and today produces approximately 7,000 tractors per year.
